The hand carved angel stands guardian over the earth and the departed. Perfect grace, serenity and nobility created by man's hand is etched by rain and discoloured and hidden under green lichens that are creeping over its surface ignoring the assumed power of the subject. A single white feather sits on the shoulder of the angel...dropped by a bird perhaps- or an angel?
