Tadek Beutlich at FibreFest Eastbourne April 13-14 2019
An opportunity to see and buy a selection of textiles by the master himself not previously exhibited.
FibreFest is back at Eastbourne Enterprise Centre on Saturday April 13 (from 10-5pm) and Sunday 14th (from 10-4pm) with weavers, spinners, dyers, knitters, felters and a host of workshops and demonstrations too. I will be there with a varied selection of small pieces by the famous master of free-warp tapestry and Off the Loom weaving, Polish born artist Tadek Beutlich (1922-2011). I am bringing new pieces from Tadek's studio not previously exhibited, with the emphasis on sharing Tadek's techniques, so that you can buy and take home a mixture of pieces to help you in your own processes. I will bring several wall hung pieces but if you would like to see any particular piece by Tadek Beutlich please message me. All are for sale and there will be discounts for verified textile students.
Fay Hankins, Tadek Beutlich's former assistant during his years at Gospels, Ditchling, will be there to answer questions on Saturday 13th April from 11-1pm and 2-4pm and again Sunday 11-1pm.
Look for the vision-gallery.co.uk stand at the top of the stairs where the magnificent 'Winged Insect’ will be hanging in the roof space above (unless someone buys it and takes it home!). Check out the Sussex Craft and Design Fair for details
